Grey Rooster May ’09
Poor old grey rooster
Alive enough the last time I saw him
Next day quite dead in the corral of branches
I’d put around him for his safety.
The other rooster had attacked him
and left his comb a bloody mess!
Where had he been? What gone through
between the point of seeing him last
and the next day not there?
